Moock’s Adobe ActionScript 3.0 Tour
Wow... I attended Moock's Adobe AS3 Tour last monday 12th of May at Suntec. It was really a good workshop in my opinion. I tried to gain as much info as I could during the nine long hours although my body started to reject at the last few hours of the day :(.
Anyway, I learnt a lot from the session. ActionScript is new to me, well ya I know a very super basic of ActionScript :), now with the session I learnt how to use ActionScript in object oriented way, and the most important thing is developing flash in pure ActionScript way :).
We were also invited to join the local Flex user group, so might want also to join them at http://www.fug.sg .
Now, let me recap what I learnt from the session
- ActionScript: just the way I want it to be presented. It opens my mind on what actionscript really is
- Flex Builder: although this was covered during the second half of the session, it gaves me a good introduction on what the IDE is all about and how it could help me. Hey, at least I could create a simple interactive flash using flex builder already yesterday :p .
- Flash: just a bit of infos that I could get from the talk on simple thing that I dont know like linking the flash component to the actionscripts, etc. (I am totally newbie to flash u know :))
Now, after the workshop, there are lots of ideas running on my head for my website that currently I am developing :). Sigh... I need to practice to train myself to stick on my todo list :p.
Anyway I'm now playing around with xaraya's flashservice module, spent whole day today trying to figure out how it works (Oh my again, I was hoping xaraya has a good documentation). Let see how it goes tomorrow... I hope I can figure this out.

see the part on modifying flashservices module particularly.
hope it helps

Hi there. I, too, am trying to implement the xaraya flashservice module without much success. Have you had any successes, yet?
Thanks in advance.
