Flash remoting with xaraya flashservices
I wanted to create some flash applications that interacts with my database. As usual, I am using Xaraya for my framework.
I knew there's flash remoting for PHP called AMFPHP. As in the documentaion, its said that AMFPHP able to be run as standalone or integrated with other framework.
So for this, I wanted to try to integrate with Xaraya. A quick search on xaraya's extension, there's a flashservices module for xaraya.
According to the flashservices module description, it is also using AMFPHP. The module, allows flash application to access data remotely using AMF (actionscript message format).
However, again, I couldn't find any documentation on how to use the module.
Ubuntu backing up to DVD media
I wanted to backup some files on my server on to DVD media.
Here's what I did....
What a funny adsense !
Hah I can't wait to show you a funny adsense advertisement that showed up on one of my page while I was managing my site.
Take a look at the screenshot that i took. The ads title was "Edison Chen Scandal" and the message was "Learning from Edison Chen affair for data storage managers in Asia". I really couldn't stop smiling; "What Edison got to do with data storage anyway?". Security? yah could be.... New marketing strategy? absolutely! I wonder, what's the CTR the advertiser get? hmm...
Moock’s Adobe ActionScript 3.0 Tour
Wow... I attended Moock's Adobe AS3 Tour last monday 12th of May at Suntec. It was really a good workshop in my opinion. I tried to gain as much info as I could during the nine long hours although my body started to reject at the last few hours of the day :(.
Anyway, I learnt a lot from the session. ActionScript is new to me, well ya I know a very super basic of ActionScript :), now with the session I learnt how to use ActionScript in object oriented way, and the most important thing is developing flash in pure ActionScript way :).
What a bad captcha!

I just visited a website that prompted me the worst captcha I have ever seen!. You tell me do you think I managed to enter what the site asked me to enter after a few tries? Not at all! not sure if anyone managed to get the correct one... sigh..
